Wheeee!! I'll be there Saturday night! Bringing my 5YO for his first "real" racetrack experience and letting him have a few dollars to pick some pretty ponies.

We are driving up from Atlanta tomorrow morning... any suggestions on a few things to do that are child friendly? He asked me already if he can pet the horses and yeah, no buddy. Can't touch the horses. Might try to do a Sunday morning tour of Old Friends and he can pet all the horses there :)

I'm never quite sure what to do with Irish War Cry. Was the Pimlico Special win because he got everything his way, or because the lightbulb went back on?
The lightbulb was on ever on when he got his way.

Well I meant the lightbulb that tells him he do any need his way to win. Lol sorry I worded it weird.

I can see why Graham thinks he’s frustrating to train.

Glad to see Pavel finally start to fulfill his potential. I thought he was a very exciting sophomore; I liked him even more than West Coast. And then he just kind of fizzled. Granted, he was aggressively spotted by his connections but I still thought he would show more.

So I was ready to write him off and then this. Also pleased because I really liked his sire, Creative Cause, when he was running and I believe Pavel is his first grade I winner.

Irish War Cry is back at the barn and seems fine. It was too hot tonight and unfortunately he was not able to cope.
Jose did the right thing to pull him up.

yes I was very happy for Pavel too - he was much the best tonight - very happy for him - - and good job by Ortiz pulling IWC up like that - he absolutely did the right thing.

Was hoping Patch would do more, but he moved late and had no running room.

I saw this mentioned on twitter not sure if it's 100% true but I think it's accurate!

How is this race still a G1?
