Gronkowski 25-1
Tenfold 8-1

Dark Vader (in the Easy Goer) sure looks like a black, though not registered as one. Sunday Silence in the third generation, too.

How often do you see a Pletcher/Velazquez at 16-1 lol

Would love to see Breaking the Rules take the Easy Goer. He's a 5th generation descendent of the race's name sake :)

Rugbyman might have won that if he hadn't been gawking at the stands for the entire stretch drive.

It is insanely perfect here right now. Weather is gorgeous, not too crowded yet. Hoping it continues!

Also all the Justify branded stuff has two sets of silks on it and it's cracking me up a bit.

I noticed the silks before anything but I didn't like how keyed up he was and with stretching out that is usually not a great sign.
I had Dark Vader and Rugbyman in my tri... totally overlooked Prince Lucky.

Yah, I saw he was washed out a bit and it's not terribly hot there. Beat one horse home.... :?

Interestingly, the winner is a son of Corinthian so a EG (sire) line horse won after all. Neat to have two in the race, particularly given he doesn't show up in pedigrees that often. Not bad from those 136 foals 25 years ago ;)

Fitting indeed!

Also I nearly flipped my lid at Mike when he moved with Abel Tasman early but uh... I fretted for nothing
Glad my girl Ivy Bell didn't disappoint in here, I had her 12-1 on my betting site... Castellano/Pletcher horse at Belmont who hasn't finished worst than 2nd since 2016? Free money!

Heard an interesting stat on TVG last week; Belmont's stretch is shorter than Churchill's and Pimlico's. The track might be huge and the turns sweeping, but maybe getting to the lead before the stretch isn't completely unwise?
