Bolt D’Oro showed signs of colic on Thursday, then was rode hard on Friday before Kentucky Derby, he should not of ran in the race, I did not find out till a week later @HR_Nation @DRFInsidepos TVG @DRF

The Met Mile field keeps growing.

Limousine Liberal, entered in Friday’s Grade 2, $250,000 True North, was cross-entered Tuesday for Saturday’s Grade 1, $1.2 million Metropolitan Handicap, trainer Ben Colebrook said. That brings the prospective field to 11.

Colebrook said a decision on whether to run in the Met Mile will be made after Tuesday’s post draw, but he sounded as if he was leaning toward running in that race. Javier Castellano will be named to ride as Jose Ortiz, who would have ridden him in the True North, is committed to ride Good Samaritan in the Metropolitan.

I've found it easier to tear up tickets at 8/1 instead of 8/5.

I think so many riders have lost the mount on Bolt that they could probably form a basketball team.

In related and unannounced news (except to Ben Colebrook) they must've moved the Met Mile this year to Churchill Downs?

Does Bolt take back to his earlier style with this post? Or does he take advantage of the fact Mind Your Biscuits tends to do so?

Some "handicap" this is. It's odd that the 126lbs 3yos carry in the classics is the most weight they'll ever carry in their lives.

Who was the last 3yo to run in the Met Mile? Who was the last 3yo to win it? Not trivia questions, I'm actually curious.

As Ioya Two said, Honor and Glory won in 1996, but 3yos had won 3 out of 6 runnings in the 90s. With Holy Bull in 1994 and Dixie Brass in 1992. Since then only 2 have even tried, Z Humor ran 6th in 2008 and Imperial Council ran 8th in 2009.
