I see that Mopotism is a scratch.

Well, that was too easy. 'Bella just treated those other graded stakes winners like they were allowance mares.
I would guess that her next race will step up a bit in distance, especially if the Distaff is the year-end goal.

Wow that was quite a performance from Unique Bella, but also La Force (GER)! Was this her first start on dirt? By a son of Oasis Dream and out of a granddaughter of Monsun she's got a pretty turfy pedigree, and I remember seeing her in a few turf races. Connections must be delighted, she was coming in like a freight train.
A filly named Ruffian...

Eine Stute namens Danedream...

And a Queen named Beholder

Yeah, but she sounds like she is no picnic to ride. TVG interviewed Mike after the race, and it was kinda entertaining listening to him describe all the different reasons she will find to act up. She's "sensitive."
If he asks her to do something before she gets in the gate, she might do it. Ask her after she gets in and she will "squat down."
And trying to get her to rate during a race is completely a maybe-I-will-but-probably-I-won't situation for the jock.
I love her, but she's kind of a head case. A big, strong bully of a filly.

103 BSF
I've found it easier to tear up tickets at 8/1 instead of 8/5.

ARCADIA, Calif. – Unique Bella may be racing in a resort town near you this summer.

Trainer Jerry Hollendorfer is targeting the Grade 1 Clement L. Hirsch Stakes at Del Mar on July 29 for Unique Bella after the 4-year-old filly’s impressive win in Saturday’s Grade 1 Beholder Mile at Santa Anita.

In the winner’s circle Saturday, Hollendorfer mentioned a race at Saratoga as another possibility this summer. The most prestigious race for older fillies and mares at that meeting is the Grade 1 Personal Ensign Stakes on Aug. 25.

The $300,000 Clement Hirsch at 1 1/16 miles and the $700,000 Personal Ensign at 1 1/8 miles are key preps for the Breeders’ Cup Distaff at Churchill Downs on Nov. 3.

Given Dorf's affinity for the Emerald Distaff, I thought maybe he'd send her up here. Del Mar or Saratoga are nice too. ;)
