That stretch run was brutal to watch. Did they finish the race yet? ;)

Pass on a closing furlong of nearly 14 seconds. Sorry, Good Magic. You're not that good.

Good Magic......95 BSF
I've found it easier to tear up tickets at 8/1 instead of 8/5.

That big, wide-bodied black pony horse with the feathers and flashy white butt blanket is such a star that even TVG's Todd Schtup is a fan.
Seems like a good time to revisit this article: Meet Harley the Magnificent

Thank you so much for that link! I hadn't seen that article and it was so cool to learn about Harley's background.
I thought he was a Percheron/Appy cross, but it's interesting that his dam is a Belgian/Perch cross. I love the photo of Harley galloping; not what you expect from a draft breed, but Harley definitely has some oomph to him. :D
With Harley as such a star, everyone is going to be wanting an American Sugarbush Draft horse. Since he seems to be a fine example of the new breed, it's kind of too bad he's not a stallion...but then we wouldn't have gotten to enjoy watching him escorting his TB charges.

Side note for those living in Kentucky or near by and who like Breyer Horses, this year's BreyerFest theme is horse racing (Off to the Races, I believe)! As always I imagine they'll have exclusive models, including exclusive stablemates sized models of Man O' War, Silver Charm and Ruffian.

They also will have as featured guests (and their models) Icabad Crane, Brass Hat and the Standardbred Foiled Again and... Harley will be there too!
Please note: Autograph and Meet & Greet sessions are limited to the first 200 people for each Special Guest. Please check-in with Breyer Staff at the Autograph tent for a number. Autographs are not guaranteed and are limited to one model per person. Guests will only be signing Breyer merchandise. Be sure to check the schedule and plan accordingly!

It's wonderful that Harley got his own Breyer. I hope whoever sculpted his model made his butt as wide as a small car...just the way it is in real life!

I don't think it's a new mold. It looks like the gypsy king mold I think?
