I was distracted by Cloth of Stars fighting with his jockey to sit off the pace the majority of the race..

Hawkbill went to the front in the Sheema Classic and then improved his position.
Can we finally say that Kitten's Joy sires superb grass runners who can win at the highest level all over the world? :P ;)
Re: The split screen. Yeah, I was swearing at TVG. How could they squeeze the $6 million Sheema Classic into equally-small space with a claimer from Gulfstream? Must be contractual.

ETA: Sounds like TVG IS showing the World Cup. Yay. although I may switch over to NBCSN for the race. Because high-definition.

Lovely race from Hawkbill even after he got over-excited at the gate! Can't believe I got him at 8-1 on my platform.
Too bad Cloth of Stars was fighting so hard against his jock, he did well to hang on for third, all things considered.

Also, no split screen on XBTV, js...

TVG's split screen strikes again. Scot Hazelton was able to get an interview with Bob Baffert before the big race, but were we able to hear it? NOOO, we had to hear the call from Gulfstream.

That was impressive from Thunder Snow! Seems like almost all the winners today came from the lead

He clearly had the horse, but Soumillon just schooled them all.

Holy crap...Thunder Snow just dominated the World Cup. Sheikh Mo is having a very good night, indeed.
I'm not going to say the track has any bias, but there seem to have been several front runners who could not be caught tonight.

That makes Mind Your Biscuits win all the more impressive.

And Forever Unbridled ran well too.

Too bad Forever Unbridled was taken so wide, but they were tightly packed. Thought she was gonna get up for 4th or 3rd at one point - but wow what a performance for Thunder Snow! I thought he might be a dark horse here but I didn't expect him to win so emphatically.
I was not a West Coast believer, he actually did better than I thought he would. Also lovely run by Mubtaahij. He's definitely a hard worker.

Pretty sure this is a win for their paying customer.....more money bet on the Gulfstream races than Dubai.
I've found it easier to tear up tickets at 8/1 instead of 8/5.
