Showed the race on 4NJBetstvg. On computer.
I was also glad that D Wayne could have a horse in the Derby. Gary did not ride him today.
There is also Sporting Chance on Monday, a horse I bet at Saratoga and won the Hopeful.
Lucas always so entertaining and fun with his dry sense of humor.

Miguel Mena up, helped the price!
I've found it easier to tear up tickets at 8/1 instead of 8/5.

Thanks for the correction about Bravaso's jock; the Entries on DRF still had Gary as the rider.
I was a bit confused, because I could have sworn that Gary was riding...and winning on...a bunch of horses at Oaklawn today.

Longshot Snapper Sinclair (4) sure put in a game effort.

That @_MIGUELMENA_ sure “nose” how to win! BRAVAZO ($44.00) takes the G2 Risen Star Stakes for D. Wayne Lukas & @CalumetFarm in 1:42.95 in a close call with those @KentuckyDerby points on the line.

Much the best of this group. I'm not sure what their plans are for her but she's not nominated to the Triple Crown.

Japanese horses are most definitely, DIRT HORSES. :) That is part of why so many are happy they are starting to meld into N.A. races. Well I can't speak for others, but I am happy about it. :)

She's targeting stakes for turf fillies. I believe the connections had mentioned pointing to the Providencia even before the El Camino Real was run. After that, Keeneland and/or Belmont.

I am aware of that just saying horses from over the big pond have done a good job in breeder Cup just ask curlin who kick his as in the classic.
I think Jess Jackson (if he could) would be more than happy to point out the flaw in that statement. . .

I know the Japanese races are officially listed as dirt, but the composition of their 'dirt' tracks appears to be all sand. Watching the Hyacinth, it was pretty amazing that any horses made up ground through the clouds of stinging sand that were thrown up by front runners.
And that sand looked deep as a beach.

This time of year, I think all plans are somewhat flexible for 3 year olds. ;)

Paved may try Santa Anita Oaks dirt in next start
Paved, who beat the boys in the El Camino Real Derby on Saturday at Golden Gate Fields, will again face fillies in her next start, but will be considered for another first: After racing exclusively on turf in her first three starts before her win on synthetic Saturday, Paved is a possibility to try dirt in the Grade 1, $400,000 Santa Anita Oaks on April 7, trainer Michael McCarthy said Sunday morning at Santa Anita.

McCarthy said Paved also would be nominated to the Grade 3, $150,000 Providencia Stakes, also on April 7 at Santa Anita. That race is on turf, the surface over which Paved began her career, including an impressive victory against maidens here Jan. 6.

Paved, a daughter of Quality Road, beat eight males in the 1 1/8-mile El Camino Real Derby, defeating runner-up City Plan by 1 1/4 lengths. She earned a Beyer Speed Figure of 86.

The El Camino Real Derby was worth 10 points toward a berth in the May 5 Kentucky Derby, but Paved is not nominated to the Triple Crown and there is no plan to run her outside her division.

Paved has been highly regarded by her connections.

I'm a fan of any of Awesome Again's progeny, hopefully they have another Oxbow on their hands... though I wouldn't mind if Bravazo did a little better in the Derby ;)
