Me too! She’s so talented, and I think she will continue to mature well, it’s in the genes!!!

HALLANDALE BEACH, Fla. - Fly So High, winner of Saturday's Grade 2 Davona Dale, will be sidelined indefinitely due to a suspensory issue, trainer Shug McGaughey confirmed on Tuesday.

Fly So High was pulled up shortly past the finish line by jockey Jose Ortiz following her three-length tally in the Davona Dale. She was vanned back to her barn where it appeared she cooled out sound. But upon further examination, it was discovered Fly So High had suffered an upper suspensory issue, McGaughey said.

The timing of the injury means Fly So High will almost certainly miss the Kentucky Oaks on May 4 at Churchill Downs.

"I just left her at Payson Park and she looks and acts fine," said McGaughey. "But she'll go to the farm in Ocala for 30-40 days, and hopefully at that point will be able to return to my barn in New York to resume training. Obviously the timing of this couldn't be worse, but hopefully she'll be fine for the second half of the year."
I've found it easier to tear up tickets at 8/1 instead of 8/5.

Well, shoot. Fly So High looked like a really nice filly. I hope she comes back healthy.

I think I just saw a filly who could step into the turf distaff void left by the departures of Lady Eli and Tepin.
Sister Sunday (Denman[AUS] x Crystal Minuet/Theatrical[IRE]) dominated the 3rd at Tampa Bay, a 1 1/16-mile MSW full of well-bred 3yo fillies. Mighty Scarlett (Scat Daddy x Thundering Emilia) was 2nd and Smashing Serena (Violence x Serena's Sister) was 3rd.
Sister Sunday has the nearly-black good looks of her sire line, and I can't wait to see if she shows up next in a stakes.
