Another front-running win by the fabulous Kitasan Black! He has such a strong combo of speed and stamina, as well as being a great-looking horse. I know he's fairly tall, but looks even more so with his high head carriage.
I imagine his book is going to be stuffed full next spring. :D

Looks like Queens Ring for second, Cheval Grand for third & Suave Richard fourth but they were only a head apart so that might not stand...

I was so worried when Kitasan led the whole way just like the Japan Cup but there was no catching him today! He goes out a hero!!!!

Rouge Buck made it up for fifth after running last for most of the race... second/third waiting for the photo.

Kitasan Black is a magnificent looking horse and a great racehorse. The Japanese are breeding some incredible horses. Instead of breeders coming here to the US to buy horses, I would love it if American breeders bought some quality Japanese stock to infuse into Thoroughbreds here.

tachyon, do we know where he will be standing at stud? Does his owner have a breeding farm/broodmares or does he race only?

Wow! Thank you for that photo. "The Black" is one truly stunning horse. He seems to have all the presence, power and fire of his grandsire, Sunday Silence. I wish him and his human family all the best as "The Black" begins his stud career.

I used Google translator, hope this is right: 黒い

Ah I *did* miss a song when the Dubai Racing feed cut out during the post-race ceremonies.

How many owners compose and sing a song in honor of their racehorses? Mr. Kitajima, a famous singer in Japan, serenaded his beloved Kitasan Black at Nakayama this evening after he won the G1 Arima Kinen. “Kitasan Black, Arigatou”

Mr. Kitajima's tribute to Kitasan Black is very, very touching. It's wonderful to know that the horse is so loved.

Have to tip my hat to Kitasan Black, who always seems to fire.

Nice effort for second by the mare Queen's Ring. Her connections must be thrilled. Wonder if she will stay in training or head off to be a broodmare.

That was her swan song.
The 2016 QE2 Cup winner will be a broodmare at Shadai Farm where she was born.

Reine Minoru will remain in training.
I don't know about Mikki Queen.
Rouge Buck will be retired by the end of March to be a broodmare. I don't know if she has already run her last race.
