I absolutely love Lani. I'm so proud of him. Cute photo.

I wonder if now that he's getting to do what he's always wanted if he has settled down or not. Since he has an outlet for his hormones and such.

Also tachyon...what about Creator in 2017 and 2018?

His groom Yohei Kikutani (with a carrot) said; ''He is not so monstrous now as you may think.''

Creator(USA), standing at JBBA, covered 85 mares in 2017.
I haven't had JBBA stallions' numbers for this year yet.
(I will post them in ''Matings 2018'' thread later)

Still worried that we haven't heard from tachyon, but twitter & FB info says that Northern Horse Park & Shadai are all okay, though without electricity & water. nabecci also posted via twitter that they just got their own power back a few hours ago... everyone hoping no big aftershocks. *fingers x*

Glad to hear the horses and people are ok, I was thinking about this all day.
Is tachyon from Hokkaido?

Horses are okay, fortunately,

But things have not yet been stabilized.
Hokkaido could see its electricity supplies reduced for over a week.
Transportation networks have not yet been normalized.
And these may still affect thoroughbreds' conditions in various ways.
Suave Richard(JPN) has to postpone his scheduled return from his layoff in Hokkaido to the worktab in Ritto, for example.
I'm not located in Hokkaido, by the way.

Thanks for that info, Tachyon. Japan has had a group of destructive events, one after another - flooding, heatwaves, typhoon, earthquake, landslides - this summer, and my heart goes out to all the people who lost loved ones or homes.

Some racing fans here tweet that Naomi's victory should be compared to Victoire Pisa's DWC win after Tohoku Earthquake in 2011.!!!

So happy for her that she got to grow up and play with/against (and then beat!) her idol.

To keep the thread on topic (LOL) - look at all the cute mascots that Japanese racetracks have!

Sorry to hear the sole causality of the Quake was the dam of the 2018 Derby winner Wagnerian(Deep Impact). Miss Encore(King Kamehameha) was turned out over night when the quake struck at 3am. Suffered a fracture in the paddock was was put down.
