Thank you! He was closing fast and galloped our past the winner. Any idea when/ where he’ll run next?

At this time it's not clear. I'm not sure if they're going to prep him and bring him over for the Belmont or keep him home with a possible campaign towards the BC.

Lucky Lilac(JPN) has made a winning sophomore debut in the G2 Tulip Sho 1600m turf at Hanshin on March 3rd 2018, extending her unbeaten record to 4 for 4.
She will definitely be sent off the favorite in the G1 Oka Sho (Japanese 1000 Guneas) in April, as she looks even bigger and stronger than last year.

Lucky Lilac(JPN) is set to run as the favorite in the G1 Oka Sho (Japanese 1000 Guineas) today.
Can she become the first 2yo champion & undefeated filly to win the Oka Sho in 61 years?
Major concerns are her post position #1 and her jockey who lacks in the experience.
There has been no filly who won this race from the rail since 1994 and no horse who finished in quinella since 2007 after the renovation of Hanshin Course.
And a lot of talented fillies will try to beat her, of course.

Rooting for Lucky Lilac to beat history, but I wouldn't be mad if Dernier Or came in strong!

Almond Eye(JPN) is the first G1 winner for his sire Lord Kanaloa(JPN).

I have just reviewed the replay.
Lemaire didn't use his whip to fly past the rivals.
Lemaire said after the race that his horse would win the Triple Tiara.
Nice to see young stallions do well, too.

Wow! That move was reminiscent of the type of Last to First moves Special Week was capable of (and also the Last to First moves I sometimes make playing Champion Jockey  )
Kind of a heartbreaker for Lucky Lilac she nailed her at the last second but Almond eye is a spectacular filly!
Tachyon do you know if they will point to the Yushun Himba?

Both the winner and the runner-up will be pointed to the Yushun Himba next!!
Almond Eye looks really unbeatable. She is the most impressive Oka Sho winner I have ever seen.
But Lucky Lilac, who was obliged to race upfront from her #1 post to get along with that honest pace, will surely switch tactics to turn the table at 12F.

Almond Eye(JPN) (Lord Kanaloa) has been given the all-time-high Oka Sho winner's rating by JRA.
There's now a rumor that she will be headed to the Japanese Derby instead of the Oaks.

Love the light dappling on her!
What an intriguing option to run her in the Tokyo Yushun, either way, will be rooting for her!

I suspect that steeplechase races are more popular in Japan than in North America.
But it's very very rare that a steeplechaser gets HOY votes. (I had never seen like this before...)
Oju Chosan(JPN) is a real-star jumper who accomplished an unprecedented four consecutive Jump-G1 victories.
His latest performance against archrival Up to Date(JPN) in the Nakayama Daishogai with a new record time was especially moving as he had suffered a chip fracture in Spring.
If he gets another G1 win or two this year, he may become the second steeplechaser in JRA history to be inducted into the Japanese Hall of Fame, the first and the only Hall of Famer being Grand Marchs(JPN) 1969H.

1st. Oju Chosan (#6)
2nd. Up to Date (#7)
Wow Steeplechasing in Japan looks SO different to steeplechasing in the UK!
Oju Chosan(JPN) (Stay Gold) does it again!!
His dominating victory this year broke the previous race record set Up to Date in 2015 by 3.6 seconds.
He is simply amazing!!

It looks like Stelvio goes as the favorite in the Satsuki Sho (Japanese 2000 Guineas) today.
Will Lord Kanaloa make a Oka Sho & Satsuki Sho double from his first crop?

Kitano Commandeur seems the calmest of a keyed-up field... I guess I'll root for him? Although I also like Stelvio, Wagnerian, Oken Moon & Gendarme... :?
