Thorough examination of heroic Tenno Sho winner RAINBOW LINE found tendon and ligament damage to the right front fetlock. Follow up checking + monitoring required as they could not reach a definitive diagnosis. RAINBOW LINE has gone to the Farm for a spell
Here's hoping that rest & monitoring will help Rainbow Line make a full recovery! *fingers x*

I'm relieved it is not life-threatening although tendon and ligament injuries can take a very long time to heal. (The horses at my barn with soft tissue injuries in that vein are often off for 6 months - 1 year. Still, I am hoping he will have a fully recovery that'll allow him a pain free life whether he makes it back to the track or not!

Scary scary rear/slip by Orfevre's daughter Rock This Town in the paddock before the NHK Mile (G1)...

https://twitter.com/LongBallToNoOne/sta ... 3052828672

Amazing finish by Keiai Nautique (dam by Smarty Jones <3) to edge out Gibeon, who had a very gutsy stretch run. Tower of London trapped on the rail for much of the race but when things opened up he had no run.

Hoping that Rock This Town is okay, thankful she didn't strike her head. :?

Here's ''Umamusume'' Episode 7 -- Tenno Sho Autumn with the real track call in 1998.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dzqr_roJ5Jk

As the track announcer called it, that Silence Suzuka's tragedy is widely remembered by Japanese fans as Chinmoku no Nichiyobi (Silent Sunday).
But she (he) survives in this anime.

Silence Suzuka was an absolute freak who could run eye-popping times without even breaking a sweat.

His was a terrible loss for the sport.

I haven't seen ep 7 yet, but I had to go back and watch Special Week's Derby after the dead heat in the anime.

It was out last week on Crunchyroll and I was really stressed out because I didn't know how it would play out for her. There was foreshadowing that something would happen to her, and I was worried she'd meet the same fate as the real Silence Suzuka.
But Spe-Chan saved the day thankfully!

It did make me go back and watch some of Silence Suzuka's real races, there was something that defied comprehension about how he would just take the lead and keep on widening then you'd think he was hitting his plateau and he'd widen again. A perfect, sublime running machine.

While we fans haven't heard anything official about Rainbow Line's status after his injury and detailed examinations, his name remains in the JRA's fans balloting list for the Takarazuka Kinen.
No one believes that he will be ready to run in the Takarazuka Kinen in June at this point as he must still be under follow-up observations.
But we may at least think that his injury has not yet been judged as career-ending.

Thanks for the update tachyon, crossing my fingers he makes a full recovery even if it isn't in time for June.
