Extensive renovation of main track, installation of second turf course at Aqueduct matches New York Racing Association's 'commitment to year-round racing'

I've found it easier to tear up tickets at 8/1 instead of 8/5.

So the new main track is a conventional "all season" track, or am I misunderstanding what they are saying?

Main track is intended to be used on a year round basis. It's similar in composition to the dirt training track at Belmont, which is used year round also.

So two turf courses will allow the equivalent of 12 to 14 weeks' worth of turf racing to be crammed into the six to eight weeks that turf racing is possible at the Big A under the current allocation of dates? I like it.

I believe it goes beyond what can happen under the current allocation of dates between the three NYRA tracks. This renovation at Aqueduct will allow NYRA the flexibility to do a significant renovation and/or redevelopment project at Belmont without having to shut down racing for half the year.
