Aiden O'Brien could have as many as seven horses in the Arc. They are Order Of St George, Idaho, Highland Reel, Capri, Winter, Seventh Heaven and Cliffs Of Moher. :o

Out of five Ballydoyle horses he had to pick from, Ryan Moore has chosen to ride the filly, Winter. That dropped her odds a bit. ;)

Kind of a surprise; Highland Reel was not among the late declarations, along with Cliffs of Moher, so it appears O'Brien will have ONLY five entrants in the Arc. :P
I wonder if that means O'Brien is saving Highland Reel for the Champions Stakes, or if he plans to ship the classy Galileo horse to California for another go at the BC Turf. Or both?

An endoscopic examination after the prep suggests a 'possible ealy-warning sign of DDSP' with Satono Diamond. (tranier)

Is that what is referred to as 'flipping' the palate, and is there a remedy for that?
Probably not something can be done now, this close to the Arc, so might we see SD scratched from the race?

He won't be scratched because using the figure-eight noseband improved his breathing in the final workout, which will be used in the race as well, and the time and money spent for preparing for this single race alone is too much to be ignored. Additionally, soft ground expected in the race day and not so good a form at the moment, as suggested in Lemaire's comments, plus the unfavourable starting stall number all clearly depress Japanese fans of his. Well, a bad luck should be there for someone else's good luck. :|

Wow I love this filly so much! What an excellent run from her! That acceleration at the end was insane!

Very happy too that Cloth of Stars (by Sea The Stars) managed to get a very very good 2nd!

Had to stay away from any racing news until I watched my DVR'd coverage of the Arc, but the wait was worth it. What a race. What a filly! I have no problem calling Enable 'great' after what she just did to a very nice field.
I suspect that today's dominating win in Europe's greatest classic will put her on the top of the world rankings, maybe nudging the other great distaffer, Winx, down a point.
