Boring Tuesday calls for a poll.

Over halfway through the year... who would you pick today?

Travers winner WestCoast will be making a late bid.
I've found it easier to tear up tickets at 8/1 instead of 8/5.

Always Dreaming would get it if they were judged on their resumes today. After the Haskell/Travers I suspect there will be a new leader... maybe. My guess is Cloud Computing.

It's... hard to say. I was just thinking about that the other day that this is wide open.
I couldn't even remember who won the Belmont this year until I googled it because there have been no real standouts.
If Cloud Computing takes the Haskell I'd place him ahead of Always Dreaming. I guess right now AD is the leader by a very narrow margin.

I think CC is going the Dandy/Travers route, along with Dreaming last I heard. Regardless, I think things will be clearer by Labor day

Depends who wins the Travers. And if any 3yo beats Arrogate it'll probably weigh even heavier on the voters' minds.

I think West Coast has the most upside and room for improvement. If he does... he will be a factor.

I hope Battle of Midway wins the Haskell and wins the Eclipse.

Love this horse.

I feel Always Dreaming is one win away from locking up the award barring a major late season surge by someone. The 3yo's don't really look capable of winning the BC Classic or even major preps like the JC Gold Cup.

The Travers will have a big impact on voters but unless the Travers is won by one of the TC race winners, not named Always Dreaming, I think the Derby winner would hold sway. If he could add a race like the Jim Dandy or Penn Derby I think it would be enough for him.
