From the Paulick Article:
“After spending so much of my life here at these racetracks, this is certainly a bittersweet moment and one that I have considered for quite some time. The best thing for me and my family right now is to strike a better balance between spending time on the farm in Millbrook with my family and working in the industry I love.”

That almost sounds like it was his decision to leave. I wonder what the whole story is. :?
Best of luck, 'Mig. May you land in an even better job that makes use of your knowledge and appreciates your class.

Easy enough to just accept at face value.
Most employers including NYRA aren't in the habit of giving on-air talent 3 weeks notice to leave the building.

A) Maybe he was pissed at Maggie's twitter account getting censored.
B) Or maybe he just wants to give Andy a chance for more airtime.
C) Or, his wife said enough is enough. (sounds like the winner to me)
I've found it easier to tear up tickets at 8/1 instead of 8/5.

From Jason Blewitt's twitter:

"Wishing a close friend, @RichardMigliore, the best. Hope we work together in the future & happy he was able to say his goodbyes @TheNYRA."

Sounds like Mig's idea...as opposed to Jason ousted

Earlier this year he was freelancing for Fasig-Tipton. No mention of that in his "good-byes to NYRA". He has complained on air of the commute.

Hope it's the commute and the sales work. Want nothing more than the best for Mig and family.
