St. Patrick's Day worked 3F today at Santa Anita, listed as trained by Baffert.

Bullet work, naturally.

Looks like he has quite the engine on him (or else a lot of baby fat)!

Cleo was already pretty tanky at that age, but SPD was spared the indignity of her shortened legs and he looks both taller and bigger than she
What I'm interested in is the length and reach of his stride, caught my eye when I saw the video the other day especially towards the end of the work, for every stride he took Jafar took 2. Speaking of which, the Medaglia D'Oro colt is a fine specimen too.

Interesting didn't realize he was a ridgling.
Anyway I was wondering about him today checked on Equibase, he didn't start on June 16th after all, and his last work was June 3rd. Anyone have more info?

And so it begins. . .

Baffert second-time starter Serengeti won by the length of the stretch in 57.98. By Algorithms out of an unraced Five Star Day mare, he's that pleasing horse that has made money for everybody--a $105,000 weanling, then a $200,000 yearling, and seems likely to provide a profit for his current owners as well. ;)

The $100,000 Bashford Manor Stakes (G3) for 2-year-olds June 30 at Churchill Downs featured a pair of short-priced favorites and a pair of disparate trips.
