I haven't seen a replay, but based on the photos it looks like it was a pretty close finish, hopefully it didn't cost him the win.

The Godolphin horse is Parabellum. He cost €2,600,000 and was the most expensive yearling ever sold at Arqana.

Parabellum lost to Ratiocination.

I know I'm old school, but I so prefer the look of those elegant leather bridles on those Euros rather than the white nylon so often seen over here.

Yeah I saw that he finished 2nd, I just wonder if the girth hampered him at all. In Chrome's case he was already out in front and much the best, but if it is a tight race between maidens, maybe it could make a difference.

The comments in French seem to say even without the saddle slip the ride the jockey gave the horse wouldn't have been good enough.

With that price, what's Parabellum's pedigree? By Pegasus out of a unicorn? :P
My Search on Bloodhorse gave me a grey 2009 Street Sense colt. Pretty sure that's not the same horse.

Thank you for the link.
Might not be a 'Pega-corn,' but Dubawi out of a Montjeu mare comes close. ;)
