Quiet Chris Derby Lock

Hope to see some people at Equistricon this summer. http://equestricon.com/ticket-packages

As many here know I have been high on Irish War Cry and Tapwrit. Thought only Mastery and McCracken were threats. With Mastery going down, McCracken missing time, and with a questionable effort by Irish War Cry, Tapwrit is now a certain winner of the 2017 Derby.

Lock it up. TAPWRIT

See everyone at Equestricon.

A little news re: Tapwrit:
Pletcher says another start possible for Tapwrit before Derby
Tapwrit emerged from his popular, 4 1/2-length win in the Grade 2, $350,000 Tampa Bay Derby in good order and was “bright and alert, happy and sound” in his stall at Palm Beach Downs on Sunday, according to trainer Todd Pletcher.

I just have a hard time really getting behind any Pletcher trainee in the Derby. In the preps, sure, but for the big dance itself... it's like all the wheels come off.

If anything he proved yesterday that McCracken is the real deal.

When Pletcher learns how to train a horse up to the derby, to peak in May instead of in March, I might give him a shot.

For now, no.

Unless he can get Calvin to ride the rail like he did on Super Saver again.....it was like the perfect storm.

Pletcher knows what he is doing. Tapwrit, One Liner, and Master Plan are all serious threats to win the Derby. I won't be shocked if any of those win the Derby. I think all 3 will be in the gate in May and will win or run second in their final preps.

That's 2 Pletcher-trainees. Seems legit.

He's another Destin.

(There, now he's certain to win).
