Mott has a Juddmonte British ex-pat making her US debut in the Hillsborough, Swiss Range (GB). She has some class, I'm excited to see how she does.

I thought the ride Ortiz gave Terra Promessa yesterday in the Azeri was horrid. I absolutely do not normally take this stance, but it was almost like he was instructed to lose prior to the race. If there was no fix then at minimum he gave her a terrible ride. I didn't bet the race, had no $ to lose (or win), but that was just repulsive. Only my opinion...

Thought the same thing peep. They tried to rate her and she hated all of it behind horses. If I had money on that I'd be livid.

Mike Watchmaker's summary:
When his career is over many years from now, Irad Ortiz Jr. will have a highlight reel 50 miles long. But his ride on Terra Promessa in Oaklawn’s Azeri will not be on it.

ARCADIA, Calif. – Champagne Room, the champion 2-year-old filly of 2016, will resume training this summer after a 90-day break to recover from recent surgery to remove a bone chip from an ankle.

Trainer Peter Eurton said on Wednesday that Champagne Room’s owners have opted to leave the filly in training after considering retiring and breeding her.
I've found it easier to tear up tickets at 8/1 instead of 8/5.

September Stars (Sea the Stars) just won the 7th at Santa Anita, a 1 1/8-mile AOC on the turf, in very impressive fashion. She made a terrific charge up the fence to overtake the leaders under a fine ride by the Bionic Jockey, Gary Stevens.
One to watch, IMHO. :D

If I heard correctly, the TVG crew said this was her first race in six months, last raced in Britain? With that nice pedigree and obvious talent, I wonder how she ended up here in the States? Maybe she bled a bit and was sent to the Land of Lasix? :P

She won once or twice maybe in Britain on all weather but wasn't anything spectacular, I followed her mildly for a bit because, of her sire.

Lady Aurelia to Make Season Debut in Giant's Causeway
Trainer Wesley Ward said Keeneland's listed Giant's Causeway Stakes, at 5 1/2 furlongs on turf April 15, is scheduled to mark the 2017 debut of Stonestreet Farm, George Bolton, Peter Leidel's Lady Aurelia, Europe's 2016 champion 2-year-old filly.
"(The Giant's Causeway) gives us good spacing to go to the (June 20) King's Stand (G1), which is five-eighths (of a mile) at Royal Ascot," Ward said.

She's such an exciting filly, and I hope she makes it to Royal Ascot in top form.

Sorry to read this: :(
Miss Temple City has training setback
Miss Temple City, the three-time Grade 1-winning turf mare, had a setback in her training and won’t make a race at the Keeneland spring meet.
Trainer Graham Motion said Sunday that Miss Temple City had gotten loose one morning about three weeks ago at the Palm Meadows training center and as a result had some filling in a leg that required Motion to back off on the mare’s training.
“She literally ran to the farthest part of Palm Meadows and back to the barn,” said Motion, who has Miss Temple City back at the Fair Hill Training Center in Maryland.

Phooey. Miss Temple City is one of my favorites, and I was looking forward to seeing her at Keeneland. Hope she does make it back to Ascot in top form.

Seems like a lot of big names are having setbacks this year. A rollercoaster for sure.
