sweettalk wrote:...? it's funny that i double checked that she indeed has not been worse than 3rd (save a single start) before i stated as such? fact-checking is a thing - i'm sure most of us here do it, no one here has every horse's entire career dedicated to memory.

also, vale's in open company. she's done this in multiple countries. how you made the leap from a horse being groomed for top-end graded stakes to a NM-breds-only race horse is what's funny. a globe trotter who basically always hits the board, at this point, needs to prove she isn't exciting, and she hasn't done that. except to you apparently. not that your opinion is terribly worthwhile as you presented nothing to bolster it, whereas i went out of my way to support mine.

unless your supporting statement is "well she hasn't beaten anyone" which can be said of many graded stakes horses, but after going from argentina to dubai to the states, i see she bounced back pretty well, and she's been steadily proving that she deserves to have chances taken with her. her last 2 have been wins by 5 1/2 lengths, her race prior was a. AOC where she demolished them, as she was expected to, by 10. a 3rd in the zenyatta doesn't tell us much as the field was small and no one was catching the top 2, but she did manage to beat out tara's tango who was having a fairly decent year. i guess we'll know more when the big guns start dusting off their racing shoes after their winter holidays.

i present you with facts; multiple countries, graded stakes placed/winner in all of them, moving up steadily since settling in here. you go ahead and attack my fact checking, attack that i used it in a counter to you, but as a serious fan, having my facts in order to present said counter is important to me, more than just grumpily saying when i do and do not think a horse deserves praise. the 'why' tends to be a pretty driving force on discussion boards, and if you want to go through PPs the next time you want to make a counter to someone, i'm pretty sure no one here will judge you. they exist for a reason.
This is a lot of typing for you to say, in a nutshell, that your sense of humor is as robust as your analysis of horses.

Eat some fiber man, bad shitting gets the worst of everyone.

I really love when people get uppity about the analyzing of a rich niche sport like it's curing cancer or means they have any real bearing on the world.

I'm a Chatterbox finished 2nd behind Unbridled Mo.
IaC's rider was really getting into her with the crop in the stretch, but her response seemed less-than-eager. Maybe she needed the race after the layoff...or maybe she's just not into the whole racing thing anymore?

In the G2 Apollo Stakes at Randwick, Winx beat Hartnell again, equaling the winning streak of Phar Lap with 14 strait. Endless Drama 3rd.

She's amazing. And we won't have to wait long to watch her again...the Apollo was the first of four races she's targeting during Australia's autumn racing championships. I think the next is in just two weeks.

My Bikini Fell Off finishes strong in Peppers Pride Handicap

The 6-year-old mare My Bikini Fell Off, making just her third start going as far as a mile in her 24-race career, finished fastest of all to win Sunday’s $85,000 Peppers Pride Handicap for New Mexico-bred fillies and mares at Sunland Park.

Maybe more muscle, but she doesn't look like she's grown taller.
She's like the 5'3" sophomore whose big brother is a 6'3' male super model. :P

She's been back in training with Bob since last December after her time off and freshening at the farm, but she only returned to the work tab at Los Alamitos two weeks ago. Her first work back was Feb 16th iirc, and only just now has been moved back to Santa Anita.
I agree I don't think she has grown very much in height (she has a little but no major spurt) but she's certainly developed.
