Graded Stakes Winner in his third start. He sure looks impressive. It'll be interesting. Video at the end of the article:

Assist. trainer Leandro Mora says, unless Paul Reddam changes his mind, Pavel is headed back to SoCal. Irap to go in Pennsylvania Derby.

3-wide both turns and when he switched leads at the top of the stretch.....wooshhhhh.....he was gone. Big sheet number I suspect.

Where was that race when I bet him hard in the Jim Dandy?

Practical Joke to Ashford in ’18
Klaravich Stables and William Lawrence’s Practical Joke (Into Mischief–Halo Humor, by Distorted Humor), most recently winner of the GI H. Allen Jerkens S. at Saratoga, will stand at Coolmore America’s Ashford Stud for the 2018 breeding season.

“He’s a very, very good-looking horse, he’s by one of the hottest sires in the country and he’s amongst the very best racehorses of his generation,” Ashford Stud manager Dermot Ryan said of Practical Joke. “We’re absolutely delighted that he’s coming to stand here.”

Pavel sure is exciting, especially with the lackluster crop this is turned out to be. Sounds like he is rewarding his connections for their patient management. Smarty Jones replay is below.

O'Neill will send out only Irap in the Pennsylvania Derby, and Pavel may run next in the Jockey Club Gold Cup. Both are owned by Reddam.

Cloud Computing sidelined by ankle chip
By David Grening
ELMONT,N.Y. – Cloud Computing, the Preakness winner, will be sidelined the remainder of the year due to a chip in a front ankle, trainer Chad Brown said Thursday morning.
Cloud Computing had the chip surgically removed by Dr. Larry Bramlage earlier this week. The horse will recuperate at Dell Ridge Farm in Kentucky before joining Brown’s stable in south Florida this winter to prepare for a 4-year-old campaign.

Hope he thrives as a four-year-old.

Oscar Performance drills for Joe Hirsch Turf Classic
Watching Oscar Performance, trainer Brian Lynch sees a 3-year-old who is maturing and improving all the time. On Saturday, Oscar Performance will face his sternest test to date when he takes on older horses for the first time in the Grade 1, $500,000 Joe Hirsch Turf Classic at Belmont Park. On Sunday, Oscar Performance put in his final workout for the Joe Hirsch, breezing five furlongs in 1:01.57 by himself over the inner turf course.

So...if Oscar Performance steps up and beats older in this prestigious G1, does he move near the top of the 3yo males? I know he's not a dirt horse, but can't he at least be in the conversation?
