Cupid set for Ashford after Breeders' Cup
Cupid, a Grade 1 winner at Santa Anita this year, will retire to Ashford Stud after the Breeders' Cup Dirt Mile at Del Mar next week.

Purchased by MV Magnier for $900,000 as a yearling at the Keeneland September Sale, the son of Tapit won four times as a three-year-old for Bob Baffert – notably in the Rebel Stakes, Indiana Derby and West Virginia Derby.

Resuming this year at four, he registered a first top-level success in the Gold Cup at Santa Anita and was last seen finishing fourth in the Awesome Again Stakes.

Makes sense. He might not be able to beat Baffert's A-Team, but he can sure score some graded stakes wins elsewhere. :D
CommaToTheTop !!
Clark Handicap !!!!
Pegasus????????????????
You spending Pegram's money? That would take a lot of Big Macs.
“On thing about Hopper, he’s a good horse,” Baffert told Golden. “He’s got a lot of class behind him and he’s doing really well. He’s a barn favorite. He’s been around forever. Old Hopper, it seems like he’s been here for 10 years, but he’s come back really well. I’m thinking maybe the Clark at Churchill Downs (Nov. 24) and then maybe another run at Dubai.”
I've found it easier to tear up tickets at 8/1 instead of 8/5.

Was pretty pleased to see Destin take the Marathon. And as a bonus, he'll return next year as a five-year-old.

Nice! I was half expecting him to be retired, but if Frank is anything, he's a sportsman. No Gun Runner (after January), no Arrogate, no Chrome, and the 3 y/o division in disarray, he could rack up a couple more G1s next year. I would guess the Pegasus is next.

He's a nice horse for sure and I was glad to read that he will stay in training. I agree that he could really clean up in the handicap division next season.

This guy is the Nick Alexander homebred who survived and thrived after a very troubled birth. I don't remember if this was posted here already, but this is his backstory for those who haven't read it.

Love this horse and, IIRC, today was his first try on the grass. Looks like he likes it. :D
He also appears to have what I think is called 'gullastra plume.' He looks like a bay from the front, but sort of like a chestnut from the rear, as his tail is a pale mix of greys and browns. Cool horse.
