Yes, since that happened before when Tepin was in season. Mares!

Poor Casse can't catch a break. It's starting to sound like a Dick Francis novel lol. At least Tepin isn't working with a divisional deadline.

What on earth is going on??? The one common thing that I do see (aside from the trainer) is Leparoux. So, put a different jockey on them and see whether that gets things back to normal.

Or, horses sometimes simply do not want to work. And as was mentioned in the article, she is in heat and plenty of low profile horses refuse to work every day. I highly doubt the horses don't want to work simply because Leparoux (aka Tepin's usual jockey) is on their backs.

There's a good reason some people avoid mares. A mare in season can be a downright bitch. Or even not in season. They're... moody. Regumate and move along, lol.

I think Classic Empire is just a headcase and the two are in no way related except they're in the same barn.

Like someone else said - cheaper horses do this all the time. It's just 2 champions from the same barn is a coincidence...and a news story?
Tepin usually acts so professional, and her acting badly could be her way of signaling she's done racing?
As for Classic Empire, he pulls weird stuff all the time.

The younger Casse loves bragging about the bad actors in the barn - he's done it with Kaigun,Noble Bird, and with Danzig Moon.

When they are in heat, mares are fruitcakes. Some try to kick somebody 3 stalls away. Some try to sit in your lap. Some think they are carnivores. Some want to eat daffodils.
Some do all of the above at one time.
Come on guys, think of your wives.

Didn't they stop on Tepin last summer because he didn't like the way she was training? I don't think this is new to her. . .

They squeezed the lemon pretty hard last year. Might be the end of the line for her. If she's not dragging the jock to the track in the morning eager to train, make a date with Tapit and let her enjoy herself as a mommy.
