heard Songbird had a great work this morning - local TB clocker was raving about her on the radio - cannot remember all the split times but the first one was 47 flat - anyway sounds like she is ready - cannot wait to watch her run next week!!

Songbird worked 4f in 47.20. Labeled breezing, lone work of 177 on dirt this morning so noted. Definitely has come forward since Delaware.
I've found it easier to tear up tickets at 8/1 instead of 8/5.

Jeremy Balan‏ @BH_JBalan
Rick Porter says, if all goes well Sat., Songbird will run in the Zeynatta 9/30 & then the BC. "99.9% the Distaff. That's where she belongs"

Porter: "We don’t need to prove anything by beating males. I’m more concerned about her returning to be Songbird so she can run next year. "

Well, outside the fact she probably couldn't.

In fairness, the rest of the quote is needed. He then said "we need to see that she's back to the old Songbird first."

I don't think flying between coasts again did her any good today. I assume she's staying for the Zenyatta then Distaff at Del Mar and hope she rebounds being at home.

that graphic they showed on the Saratoga Live show yesterday..... that spelled out how many times she shipped across the country - wow - it was eye-popping -- she is certainly a trooper - this filly has a huge heart - always gives her best - I just love her.

We lost a tough race yesterday. Have to give the connections of Unbridled Forever credit for staying so far outside of Songbird. Mike said he didn't see her and Songbird didn't see her well enough in Mike's opinion because of the distance outside of her. Rosario told Mike that was their plan all along. They felt when you are right next to Songbird it is tough to pass her.
I have decided to play it very safe and am sending Songbird to Lexington to have a thorough checkup by Dr. Bramlage. I am just being cautious. It is the right thing to do.

Her name is Forever Unbridled, and she was up against the pace scenario, so give her some credit- she's a very good racehorse too.
