Yes, very glad to see her get the win! Congratulations to Rick, Victoria, Jerry, Mike, and all the folks at Fox Hill Farm. I too hope Rick was watching and smiling...good medicine! And how wonderful for LAZ to be there with mom and be part of that.

We were in the paddock for the second race Friday, as friends of ours are friends with John Hertler, a very nice man, who trained for friends of theirs. I pointed out a guy to my wife who I said looked like a dead ringer for Jerry Hollendorfer, then saw that Songbird was schooling. Very impressive, and lucky to be able to see her up close.

Barbara Livingston was photographing her; CBS Evening News had an excellent segment on her the Friday before the Derby.

nah, need her name on the saddlecloth so non horsey ppl will get a kick out of it
