Based on the way the track is playing today, and what I've seen so far, Beholder should be the 1/9 favorite for the Distaff. Whoever gets the lead should be the winner.. unless it's Street Girl.

A little over an hour until the Breeders' Cup World Frontrunning Championships begins, everyone!

Hey, at least the turf races will still be fun to handicap...

That being said, I'm ignoring it in the Marathon- no bias can carry a horse an extra half-mile, and it didn't make a difference last year. As for everything else, if this keeps up... how much would all/all/Beholder cost? ;)

Princess of Sylmar should scratch now. Track bias is too strong, and I would wager it will lead to a Beholder victory and 3 year old filly eclipse. I was really surprised they even went out there given how the track played last year. It was the sporting thing to do, but I don't really think it was the right thing. I may eat my words in a little bit, but a speed bias of that magnitude takes most of the guess work out of it

Well this is a 6 horse field, even if PoS is close to the pace she's in a good spot. Though of course I'm rooting with all my heart for Royal Delta!

Don't know if this was already posted, but Easter Gift is scratched from the Dirt Mile.

He was on the AE list; was scratched yesterday, I think.

Yeah, Beholder is looking more and more likely a winner. Although with Royal Delta liking to run on the lead, the bias could help her a lot too.

That was a great video! Horse racing in slow motion really gives me chills and some tears in my eyes. In slow motion, you can really appreciate their grace, beauty and strength.

It's ON!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I'm in SW Ontario and found it on TSN2 (Bell channel 401).

Good luck to all the runners and prayers that they all come home safe and sound.

ENJOY! :)

Yes, I knew Easter Gift was AE. With Taptowne out now, there would have been room for Easter Gift, but maybe we'll see him in something else back east later on.

Unless that is just green cement.

For three seconds I was sad I wasn't there, but 83? Fuck that. I'll take my 60 degree NY weather. Summer ended like a month ago..
