For those of you who liked the 60 minutes piece on the MHC featuring the brilliant Senior Senator, the new Jumping Around podcast is a must-listen :D He's quite a character.

That was delightful! "We adapted ourselves to his preferences," pretty much says it all. Got a sense of his personality in the 60 Minutes piece, but this really expanded on that. Reminds me why I'm so partial to thoroughbreds with all their crazy quirks and antics, even the sour stressed out low level claimers. Their humans just have to find the jobs for them that makes their hearts sing...like going 30 miles an hour for 4 miles leaping over the biggest of fences. Hope they make it to England! Thanks for posting.

We talked about her in the Older Horses thread, but probably is a better fit here. I got an Early Entry Notification for Lady Yeats but it looks like they scratched her from this one and she'll run at the Middleburg Hunt Point to Point in The George Straub Memorial Open Flat instead. Thanks to Miss Woodford I now know about the non-sanctioned races.

Lady Yeats (GB) is entered to run on April 29, 2017, at CHARLOTTE.
Your comments for this horse were: 2011 Yeats (IRE) - Oblique (IRE), by Giant's Causeway

Only two horses finished (Derwins Prospector over Drift Society), which is par for the course with these races. No horses or riders seriously injured though.

Huge, and not good, news for eventing; Rolex will no longer be the title sponsor of the Kentucky Three-Day Event. :(

Nice article about a star jumper's return to racing after suffering a severed tendon and infection.

Bon Augure caps miracle return with emotional Drags win
In a year when Scotland's jumping community already has the Grand National victory of One For Arthur to celebrate, Lynne MacLennan can toast the resurrection of the six-year-old Bon Augure, the winner of a pulsating Prix des Drags at Auteuil on Sunday.

In September 2015 Bon Augure was one of the most promising four-year-old hurdlers in France but was struck into by Blue Dragon during a Grade 3 hurdle.

My guess is Longines has moved in with a better offer (they've been sponsoring more and more equestrian events outside of racing), or Rolex was pressured off from PR advice/PETA related groups.
