Re: 2018 foals

No kidding, I’m huge fan of SA thoroughbreds. Their farms are so fan friendly as well. Just wonderful to folks like me who just love a beautiful animal.

Re: 2018 foals

South Africa has some of the most beautiful bloodstock and farms. Too bad the country is in such chaos. So very sad what is happening there. Their farms have been so kind to send some stunning stallion brochures as well.

Re: Justify vs AP at stud

Scat Daddy was standing for $100k at the time of his death, right? They'll get $200k easy for him I think. Is this the first time a stud farm will stand two TC winners at the same time? (is this deal even concrete?) No, Spendthrift stood Seattle Slew and Affirmed. Calumet stood Whirlaway and Citati...

You've believed in your boy all along, Bal. Congrats to him and you for your unwavering faith in him. He is something special. He's made a believer of me. Love Mendelssohn, but Johannesburg was always a favorite, even more so after visiting with him at Ashford. So I am happy to see his grandson win ...

Oh yuck, why send her to him? He hasn't had a smashing record with the first two.

If she were mine I would send her to Steve Asmussen.

Re: Photos/News about Broodmares

Excited to here this. :)

I was so happy that they sent her to be bred to Frankel.

Big fan of both of them, so I am hoping they produce something special.

I think I would shoot for the top, myself. If he isn't the right person, his secretary will no doubt pass it on to the right person. My experience, as a fan only, with many of the farms is that they are flattered that somebody would take the time to write to them. Sure they might be busy, but fans a...

She keeps pawing the hay and flagging her tail up and down. There has been somebody at her gate several times with a flashlight looking in on her so maybe she is getting ready?

So tired of people ragging on Trump. Even in racing forums. Unemployment is at record lows but lets continue to b*tch about the man. Our family's life has improved 100% with him as president. EVERYONE is working at great paying jobs. Something that was not happening under Obummer. My son went from m...

Re: Zenyatta News

Such a shame that two of the best mares in the last several years have only a handful of foals each. Rachel has two and Zen has three.

Rotten luck I suppose, different reasons for each mare, but it really stinks that neither of them have had much luck as a broodmare.

Re: Final Derby Picks

With it raining and wet, I am thinking it will move up the Curlin's. He loved the mud and many of his kiddos have as well.

But I love Mendelssohn and believe that great horses overcome obstacles, so even if he doesn't like the wet track, he should overcome it, if he is as good as I believe he is.

I absolutely love this horse and I think he is set to blow their doors off. I also was a huge fan of Beholder. There are firsts for everything, and I think he is something so special, that curses, jinx's, whatever people might worry about will not affect him. I might be crying afterwards, but I don'...
