Godolphin shared on their Instagram story that their first foal of the year was born this morning at Jonabell. Distorted Humor X Small World colt.

Re: Indian Classics

Interesting that Sir Cecil's main opponent is trained by the real Sir Henry Cecil's stepson. I didn't know that there were any imported Thoroughbred trainers in India at all, tbh.

Yeah, MM was saying that the foal is full to American Pharoah. If Littleprincessemma was full to AP, it'd say: (dam is full to American Pharoah)

Re: Stallion News

So glad to see that he is still thriving and covering (small books) of mares at his age. I also had no idea that Distorted Humor was covering 125+ mares at his age  . Guess that's the difference between Adena and WinStar. Also didn't know AA had two very serious bouts of colic, he really is a...

Re: Random News about Breeding and Breeders

I wonder if any of those dozens of broodmares in foal to the Adena Stallions were impregnated using AI... or if Andy Stronach had anything to do with it or if the mares were Nadine Anderson's... the plot thickens.

Re: Photos/News about Broodmares

I think a 23 year old mare has zero foals left in her, rather than 2 or 3. To me it just sounds like he's just trying to convey that the colt is a rare entity, being a half sibling to two G1 winners and out of a mare that is probably now pensioned, or close to it. Though I have heard that some (or m...

Re: 2019 Foals

Geisha Peebles had a We Miss Artie colt at Ramsey Farm. Doesn't specify if he was born today or last night. https://scontent-mia3-2.xx.fbcdn.net/v/t1.0-9/49896534_2399292453477028_4551048068119658496_n.jpg?_nc_cat=109&_nc_ht=scontent-mia3-2.xx&oh=3ad8b8e3db30a712016e2285dbf709ea&oe=5CBC8EAA https://...

Re: 2019 Pegasus World Cup

Um.. I had hoped Yoshida would race on on the dirt to increase his future stud value. I will cheer for him anyway and now hope he will beat Aerolithe and the others. Good luck to him! If Yoshida runs in the turf Pegasus, he is almost guaranteed to pick up a better cheque than he would in the dirt P...

Re: 2019 Pegasus World Cup

You do you, but you can sit in the bleachers to watch the Yankees play a decent team for less. Definitely, but tbh I only really enjoy racing and showjumping. Every now and then a family friend has extra Blue Jays tickets, but other than that I don't really go to/follow any other sporting events. A...

Re: Ken Ramsey

  Can you actually make money in the dogshowing business to offset the cost of that rig?? I know making money in horses (racehorses that is) is hard enough, but at least in the showjumping world I am a part of, you can charge for lessons, board, not to mention buying and selling horses...

Re: 2019 Pegasus World Cup

That's sort of a stretch from what Zoe said and I responded to. Of course, the Pegasus is such a fan friendly event with its $100 fee just to get into the place. Yeah , as a fan, that seems like a reasonable price of admission for a day long sporting event. Though maybe I am the only Frankie Dettor...

Re: 2019 Pegasus World Cup

Racing fans? He's a legendary jockey and is good with fans, if I could extend my current South Florida vacation to include the Pegasus, it would be a plus to be able to see him ride in person, even if he finishes last. Though I'm sure he'll get some decent mounts on the undercard. That's sort of a ...

Re: The WAR HORSE Chronicles

I wish I could claim him. Even if he is a cranky old fart, you could still say that you own a horse who ran against (and finished last to) Frankel in the Royal Lodge. He also was a credible 4th to him in the 2,000 Guineas. I’d like to register a plea for Eminem to claim him. May the real Slim...
