Re: Accelerate vs Justify HOTY

Side note - I read this article https://www.paulickreport.com/news/bree ... -negative/
about the drug testing this year... and I got to wondering, did some trainers not do as well this year because of it?

Re: Accelerate vs Justify HOTY

But but but, Accelerate just beat everyone in the Classic. I’m Canadian, so I really don’t understand this East vs West argument. Sure, they have shorter fields in the West, but that’s about numbers. Aren’t there less horses out there, and only two “big” tracks compared to umm... five + in the East?...

Re: Accelerate vs Justify HOTY

Accelerate should win HOY.

He’s actually done what no other horse has done - win the big 3 handicap races in California in the same year He won the BC Classic.

He won the race fair and square today. He deserves it.

Roaring Lion had no chance after the break. He hated every second.

I think Accelerate should be HOY.
I agree. He’s shown that.

Re: Breeders' Cup Watchalong Thread

Wow. How does a horse go so horribly off racing like Abel Tasman?

Kudos to Monomoy Girl, I thought she was cooked after her last race, but was SO wrong.

Re: 2018 Breeders' Cup Juvenile Fillies (G1) - Nov 2nd

I just looked at Jaywalk’s pedigree - interesting that there is no inbreeding in her first 5 generations and her 3rd dam is La Paz, dam of Mission Impazible. The Unbridled’s Song-La Paz cross works well up close and farther back!

Is that No Dozing’s first graded stakes win? He has been frustrating to watch mostly, so kudos for him breaking through.

In all honesty though, did we think a son of Flower Alley would be a great sire???

Re: New Conformation Photos

I like his colour. He’s got a shark fin wither, which makes his neck look ewed, or whatever that word is. He’ll probably look better once filled out. He doesn’t have a great bootie.
I’ve seen worse. I kinda think he looks like someone’s hunter.

I admit I am not familiar with a lot of these fillies, but have been impressed by Summering. And it would be nice to see Glen Hill win with a homebred.
