Re: Stallion News

I’m saying what Curtis and Flanders are saying, but in different words... he was ruined, cooked, f**ked up from that huge effort in the Met Mile! He was never the same. Really incredible effort, but it did something to him. I never said he should not have been in the race, just that it ruined him. ...

I just realized Instilled Regard is entered in the PA Derby, I may have to rethink cheering for Hofburg.
Is this IR’s first race since the Derby?

Re: The Gelding Thread

Johnny Bear is fantastic! I think he is under-rated.
I like the story about Pink Lloyd. I love when they stand and watch the others train and decide when it’s time to train. Super personality and intelligence. He ran in the middle of the pack this weekend. 🙁

I’m looking for a Hofburg win in the PA Derby.
Monomoy Girl will probably run them off their feet, but I’m rooting for Midnight Bisou to turn the tables.

^ that, and I recall him wanting to get the horse to Saratoga last summer, but had to scrap that idea and turn him out. There was also some bad workouts following the Met Mile and a strangely fast one( or two). Mental, physical(although mental can be tied into physical), whatever - he was never the ...

Omg. Is he ever beautiful! I remember he was pretty big, but he looks massive in that photo, and those highlights are gorgeous!

Fog of War (War Front x Say), whose second dam is Riskaverse, won the Gr.I Summer Stakes at Woodbine!
I love Riskaverse. She was just a big, strapping mare. Nice to see her in a pedigree!

Me too. Liked the horse, but always expected a bit more. Seems to me he was on the small side, perhaps that is why he didn’t like getting smacked around.

Re: 2018 Keeneland September Yearling Sale

218, a colt by MdO x Moulin de Mougin, goes for a nice $1,300,000. MdM's dam, Cambiocorsa, is also the dam of Bronson, who we lost this past weekend after a race at Kentucky Downs. :( This is one of my favourite active female families, I was very excited about this colt. I’m sorry to hear about Bro...

Kitten’s Girl (1/2 to Up With the Birds) broke her maiden today at Woodbine and became a TDN Rising Star.
She looks like a damn good one! Gallop out was impressive after a funky start.
