Re: 2018 Keeneland November Sale

Finally found the Keeneland thread. Wonder why Pavini (hip 163), only sold for $200,000. She's by Dubawi, and her dam sire is Sadler's Wells. Additionally, she's in foal to American Pharoah. If her physical was not great, hard to think she'd have been approved to be bred by AP. If the mare's owners ...

La Verdad's Tapit filly, 116A, in the ring. With her blaze and four sox, she's pretty flashy.
$800,000.
Mandy Pope and Three Chimneys bought her.

What Stark & Flanders said. 8-)

Ditto.

Winning the Triple Crown is a brutally tough accomplishment. It happens so rarely that I believe it should be rewarded with HOTY.

Wow - Dabster's jockey really whipped him hard in the straight -- 12-15 times at least.

Re: Winx

Every time I watch WInx drive to front and then accelerate away, I'm amazed at how much faster than her foes her legs seem to be turning over . She has a turbo-gear no-one else seems to have. She does move her legs faster, her stride isn't as large as some horses. Every minute Winx is in full motio...

You'd hardly know he had surgery on his right fore to repair a sesamoid fracture. He looks good.

Frankel vs WInx
What course and distance?
Frankel vs WInx over the Rowley Mile at Newmarket, or a mile on turf at Ascot. So hypothetical as neither ever shipped out of their countries.

The angulation (or lack of) in his hocks worries me. Almost a post leg, like halter QH. I wouldn't want to risk passing that on.

Does he look a wee bit short-legged for a Galileo?

I was thinking the exact same thing when I just now saw this picture. But, wow, Galileo sure stamps his progeny, doesn't he?

Anyone hear anything about why Spring Quality ran so far off his form in the Joe HIrsch? Hope he's OK. He seemed so competitive when he won that nail biter in June on Belmont Stakes day.

So happy that we're all back online again. I, like many others, was having serious withdrawal. Paulick, Bloodhorse etc. filled some gaps, but I really missed this site.
KURENAI - THANK YOU!!!
