Silverbulletday has to be nearing the age of pension isn't she?
One would hope. She's 23 this year, Secret Status is 22.
Dozen named foal a piece, not including any not named yet.

I'm not seeing the "goggles" you typically see on a foal that will be gray.
'Goggles' are not a be all end all indicator of grey.
The foal is highly hyper-pigmented with no foal camo. I'd call grey.

Re: Random News about Breeding and Breeders

Yes Lurkey, it was the Stronach bred horses tied up with all that. It was searched out but not really followed up on back in October.

Re: New Conformation Photos

Seahenge is somewhat what I'd expect Mendelhossen(sp?) to look like....little gawky and immature.

Scat Daddy certainly sired all types. Very little correlation among his offspring, other than talent.

Re: 2018 foals

Little handsome is just shedding out in a few places, like his front knees and butt too. Yes...he's got large and small patches of darker color even in his mane. Is it possible for a foal born chestnut to shed out to bay or brown? No. Keep in mind, foal shed is historically the darkest shed as well...

Re: Stallion News

Mendelssohn is officially retired and will stand for $35,000. http://www.thoroughbreddailynews.com/mendelssohn-retired-to-ashford-stud/ No surprise, but it is a shame. He's one who I think would have really benefited from a rest, and a 4 yr old season. Love to have seen him with some size and matur...

And evidently Matthew Cheng is not Big Ten......... He's definitely not. He's banned from the forum.... Oh, I’m aware......he somehow found me on Facebook. He actually wants me to pass a message on to you. He’s found me other places as well. I’m starting to think I know what it’s like to be Trevor ...

I'm glad to see that the LA Times John Cherwa reads this forum before writing his articles. Excerpt from today's entry..... If you look at Santa Anita’s decision to change programs, which is under discussion for the upcoming meeting, Stronach racing boss Tim Ritvo wanted to get more betting informa...

Well, that is a pretty frank, though unnecessary, tweet. I don't mind his calls. Though I know one person who will be thrilled with this announcement. Seriously......that was the 1st thing I thought of sadly. Here's your big chance MHRC!! :D Is it wrong that this made me laugh? :P Hey guys, I...

Re: Stallion News

Both of mine are registered as dark bay but one was actually smokey black; his muzzle was black all year round. He had cream colored hair in his ears and lighter brown eyes. Was black in winter but would turn a burnished brass color on his sides and butt in summer. He also had a dorsal stripe down ...

Re: California mares bred to Stronach stallions...$500

I just did now this morning.

Not sure if there's a story here or not.....but something seems odd here to me.

Why are they basically dumping all these horses for $550....and why are they all bred to Stronach stallions?

California mares bred to Stronach stallions...$500

Saw post on Facebook the other night with a link to a website. On it were well over 20 mares and young horses. All the mares were bred to City Wolf, North Light and Shaman Ghost. All for 'auction' and up for sale for $500. Basically, what seemed a dump site for lack of better wording... I'd saved th...

Re: 2018 Keeneland November Sale

On the FT thread, Northport asked, " Am I nuts for thinking that a Tapit half sister to Arrogate is kind of a deal at $750,000?" In the Bloodhorse article about her sale, the photo shows that the filly is shod on all four feet. Shoes on a WEANLING? The Comments after the article do not have...

Hip 200, Lady Aurelia, champion and multiple Grade 1 winner goes for $7.5 million They wanted the bidding to start at $10 million so might be an RNA Stop saying that. Where the auctioneer starts the suggested bidding has nothing to do with the reserve. If it did, the amount of manipulation that cou...

Re: horses with unique coloring/facial markings

The Lucky Pulpit x Passionforfashion colt appears to be a grey who is going through an interesting color phase. Love the gold mane and tail with the matching gold hooves and swath of color across the flanks, but I suspect that he's going to look like a normal grey in a year or two. Attractive, alth...
