Re: The VENT Thread

I'm venting that I don't have a white Christmas this year! Simple as that. Blessed that I am healthy, and all the good that I've had this year. Experienced a parental loss this year that was the hardest thing to get through and accept.

Re: In memoriam 2018

I am so upset about the comments regarding the euthanasia of Soaring Empire on The Blood Horse article. I work on the farm and I saw this animal struggle with his blindness. It took 3 people 2 hrs to get him to walk from his paddock to into the barn because the horse refused to walk because he could...

Re: The VENT Thread

My family and I buried dad yesterday. It was a beautiful day, beautiful ceremony, and we all have beautiful memories. I was able to read my story about dad, my grown children did too. Mom who is also at the same nursing home dad was, did great. She's recovering from a stroke, but had direct instruct...

My dad does not have to struggle anymore with Alzheimer's. He lost his battle early this morning, 3 days before his 89th birthday.
Love you forever dad.

Thank you Sparrow Castle & Nicole. Quite a disappointment in sale price, but not much racing on dam side. I hope he is in
good hands and does his best.

Hip #441 at the F/T Midlantic Sale is a white colt by Honorable Dillon. Would be great if any members
at the sale can get a picture of him. Thanks!

Re: 2018 foals

It was great to watch La Verdad's foaling. I do think there were too many people in that stall while she was in heavy labor. Trying to pet her on her face and surrounding her with 10 people was a bit much while she was in heavy labor. And it doesn't take 3 people to towel dry a foal, and having it's...

Re: 2018 foals

I'm wondering if La Verdad is in labor in the other stall because I see a lot of people walking around the stall and a photographer is there. Hope things are going okay. They gray mare does show signs of discomfort at times too, maybe they'll have 2 foals tonight.

Re: 2018 foals

It looks like StreuFex, or some kind of broken down straw compound. All of Ramsey's mares foal on it, and people have asked about it a few times on their Facebook. They almost always give a thorough explanation of what it is and why they use it, but I am lazy and tired and it's too late to go look ...

Re: Fire at San Luis Rey!?

Just learned my friend had to put down her 32 year old Appy just before Christmas. Wow, you say, yeah, she did everything for this horse, and he was
in good condition for his age. Kudos to her though, not too many horses get up there in age. RIP Chance.
