Re: Earthquakes, Tsunamis & Volcanos

Serious this time! Massive series of quakes, 6.5, 6.8, 6.6 ...near Vancouver, British Columbia around midnight local (Vancouver) time last night. This will probably be on the news on your local TV. Something that big causes a lot of damage. One of the reasons I have been following that quake site (t...

Re: The VENT Thread

Ever call a cable provider because 4 channels on your TV , which you pay for, don't work beyond scattered dashes and lines, but the other channels work fine. The repairman shows up Fiddles with the box. Stands up, wanders out the door mumbling. Gets in his truck, supplied by his employer, still mumb...

Re: The VENT Thread

Does anyone know a nice back surgeon who wants to make medical history? He can replace my lower back and write a nice book about it. Just think nobody else has done it! I don't want this one anymore.

Ight as well have a weather warning topic, too

Ol' Man Winter got bored. He's kicking up his heels in the upper midwest. It's gettin' cold before Halloween, folks. That hurricane near Mexico last week? It decided to be torrential thunderstorms in the middle of Texas. Bridges, dams, rivers and roads are in major flood stage with near record water...

 And some loon on that page claims Secretariat ran as a 4 year old. And no one even noticed. Well, I guess he ran around his paddock at Claiborne.

There is also the fact that the top families are not quite as affordable to the smaller breeders.

Re: Breeders’ Cup News & Notes- 2018

Oh, yes... dirt.
In case it has not been noticed, dirt racing seems to be being gradually phased out even in the US. More and more races are being carded for turf every year.

Re: Earthquakes, Tsunamis & Volcanos

New Guinea and the Kuril Islands are having a dance contest.
New Guinea is doing the twist with a 7.0 top that Baroque Again told us about.
The Kuril Islands are not quite as hot. They are around 6.0 so far.

Oh, don't worry, I stripped the bed and shook out everything. My overnight bag slept in the trunk.
This is Florida. Roaches range from pinhead size to 3" Palmetto bugs. They don't show those pics in ads about moving to the Sunshine State.

Re: The VENT Thread

Ok. The winter pool tournament season is starting. I spent yesterday in Winter Park, not playing... had a call that I was a required spectator so that I could catch up on the messages I seem to be the only means of delivering to the players that didn't get there. Last night was interesting. Michael ...

You can also remember that there are horses that run as hard as they need to. Justify finished ahead of every horse he ran against. To me, that puts him above his opponents. Could he have thrown spectacular times or come from behind victories or monstrous bursts of speed out for our enjoyment? Moot ...

And, after a brawl on the sidelines, and an accidentical catch downfield by their best receiver (when he remembers why he's there), the Bucs find 7 more pounts.
It's only the worst and second worst D in football.
We shall pray, whichever team we root for.

Same story, 2 weeks later.
I'm gonna go ask for a try out on Tuesday.
Oh, wow, a Buc caught a ball. Winston was trying to throw with his big toe the next play. Almost fell over the football.

That's as close as this damned phone is in the mood to copy today. I'm looking for tequila. Top story, Euro edition, this morning. I may go looking for a boat to drop the damned thing into a shark's mouth. Maybe it can copy with it.

Not necessarily, Baroque, they have been known to race twice a week. There are several
looking to run in both the Champion and BC.
