Re: Cigar Mile (G1) - December 1st 2018

Is RyanMoore making the trip? Guessing he'll have to gun from the rail with the favorite and will get pace pressure along the way, looking for a better price coming from off it to nail 'em at the wire. Don't like Mendy here at all. Backwards moving Sheet line, horrible inside post and platinum clas...

Re: 2019 Pegasus World Cup

History should tell an amusing story about the Pegasus in general. Do we really believe there are going to be two actual $7 million races that day? Though, $7 million may not be enough if Greyvitos is running. You doing previews for the Saturday stakes on the website? Never came up. Sorry. Congrats...

Re: 2019 Pegasus World Cup

Hey look. Greyvitos shows up in the entries on Saturday in an allowance off the layoff. Right spot.

But you think those knuckleheads have the Pegasus on their radar as a next start?

History is a tell.

Re: Kitten's Joy's Progeny

I didn’t say quality mares. But I thought he was very peculiar about which mares he thought were a good match regardless of accomplishment or ancestry? I remember him claiming a bunch of mares off the track specifically to breed to KJ. I had the impression he was more worried about quantity than qu...

Re: Kitten's Joy's Progeny

Will never stop expressing my admiration for Ramsey's dedication to this stallion. I know I know, not every big stallion station has the time, money or patience to invest in a stud, but maybe the Ramseys should give a course on 'how to 'Make' a stallion'. Maybe we'd have a wider gene pool, less bot...

Re: 2018 List of Mares Bred

Regarding Tapit...if he is indeed having fertility issues this year, if the rumor Horsebagger (I think) mentioned is true, I wonder how any of his 113 got in foal. Multiple covers with same mare before catching. Nobody suggested he was infertile. it burns time and leads to later foaling than antici...

Re: New Conformation Photos

He was precocious and better than his peers at two and starting his three-year-old racing season. Then his peers caught up to and passed him. Even now, it's like he never really finished growing. He was also a $2.2MM yearling with a pretty fantastic pedigree who was a MGSW going 2 turns on the dirt....

Re: Breeders' Cup Watchalong Thread

Neither do I but it's an interesting puzzle to try and figure out before they announce. What's the competitive niche they want to put them in to get the best 125 mares paying what full fee? Let's start with none of the 3 are out of the box top tier stallions, imo, competing with any of the 6 figure...

Re: 2018 Fasig-Tipton November

There is alot about NH sales that really confuse me particularly a "buyback" are Vendors not able to set reserves? Yes that is essentially what a buyback is. Its when the reserve is not attained (RNA) and the consignor has to pay a fee to "buy back" the horse. I believe its a percentage of the last...

Re: 2018 Fasig-Tipton November

Hip 200, Lady Aurelia, champion and multiple Grade 1 winner goes for $7.5 million They wanted the bidding to start at $10 million so might be an RNA Stop saying that. Where the auctioneer starts the suggested bidding has nothing to do with the reserve. If it did, the amount of manipulation that cou...

Re: Breeders' Cup Watchalong Thread

As of now, looking at Bloodhorse, Quality Road has the following sons at stud- Klimt Frank Conversation Blofeld Hootenanny City of Light will be the best son, no question. Thanks for this. Clearly none are the prospect that City of Light appears to be, as these are likely considered more regional t...

Re: Breeders' Cup Watchalong Thread

I don't know enough to speculate, but I love reading and learning about this stuff. City of Light will be the first major Quality Road to stand at stud, right? Is that likely to increase his value, or does it make him a little risky? He strikes me as the most intriguing and possibly marketable sire...

Re: Breeders' Cup Watchalong Thread

I feel bad for Mind Your Biscuits who no way is mile and a quarter horse. i hate to see him retire with this race as his last- if they had put him in a race he belonged in, he may have had a chance to be competitive Once his trainer got his stallion deal done, it became a different set of objective...

Y’all know the folks at Lane’s End are having an absolute mega party freak out at the farm right now. What fees you think they set for the 3 new residents? I haven't a clue. Curious about what they set for West Coast. Neither do I but it's an interesting puzzle to try and figure out before they ann...

Accelerate also became the first horse ever to sweep the Santa Anita Handicap, the Gold Cup at Santa Anita, the PAC Classic and the Awesome Again before winking the BC Classic (In the same year and in general if I’m not mistaken). He’s now 6 for 7 this year and his only loss was a second place, all...

Well then. Not much to say about that. Guess it wasn’t Biscuits’ day. I still love him though. :) Congratulations to John Sadler! Bet that feels good!
5 wide on first turn while being to close to a fast pace. Wrapped up by mid-far turn.

Still want to see that iso on the trainer.
