Re: 2018 Royal Ascot

I can't. I literally then asked a question to Tessa's response. It was a point I hadn't considered.

The passive agressiveness and the words being shoved in my internet mouth are reminders of why frequent breaks are mandatory here.

Re: 2018 Royal Ascot

No one said it was stupid.

I forgot that no one can ask questions on this forum. It's a shame and it's annoying.

Re: 2018 Royal Ascot

I'm hardly disparaging them. I'm just legitimately curious if running 5th in a European Classic is going to get him another $10k tacked onto his fee. I don't know what breeders look for.

Re: 2018 Royal Ascot

I'm sure it's a covert way of saying a Group win in Europe would look better than a G1 here.

I'm not sure how this looks good on a sratllion resume. Since when is also-ran a selling point?

Run 5th for pennies or run over here in the Manhattan for possible several hundred thousand. Ok.

This is some good PR.

The whole leaves me feeling extremely unclean.

Re: Jockey/Trainer News - 2018

The comments on how tracks are "notorious" for defending the gate crew in the past have me wondering what else has happened?

I don't know if he/she even knew. I'm wondering if a lot of people saw it on the feed an reported it to the track.

Re: Jockey/Trainer News - 2018

It's 2018. You can't fire anyone immediately without a meeting.

Why this meeting is 48 hours in the future, though, is beyond me.

Re: Jockey/Trainer News - 2018

Yes, it should be dealt with immediately. Right?! Not a day from now. I get that it's hard to arrange things but this is a massive PR problem that is waiting to go viral. I am reminding very myself hard right now that assholes are in every industry. This on top of the gaining traction of the Restor...

Re: Jockey/Trainer News - 2018

I know that it's impossible to tell anything without context but how is a meeting on Saturday? If I messed up at work in ANY capacity a meeting would be scheduled the same day.

It is tough to defend this game sometimes.

That looks flat-out disgusting and is painful to watch. I'm curious what that meeting yields.

I sincerely hope that does not go viral. Ugh.

Re: Justify vs AP at stud

To gush I really did just love to watch AP gallop. It was so fluid I felt hypnotized watching it. I hope I never lose my memory... watching him run by with some coffee in my hand is such a nice memory. Treve, if he loses once or twice going forward I still feel like they can get away from it. I defi...

Interesting ideas. People using drugs probably is not a problem. Drunk people have given me way more problems than potheads every have.

Re: Justify/Restoring Hope...quite the duo

Or national protocol for concussed jockeys. Hurt jockeys. So many things. There is an article I read from the LA Times that was published sometimes in the 90's where they were approving Lasix at NYRA and even then people were saying how little they knew about Lasix. A lifetime later and we still don...

Re: Justify/Restoring Hope...quite the duo

I believe NYRA still couples if the purse is under $50k.

I'm not sure I disagree with that though. The Lumbar Guy going down to miserably low odds in the Vosburgh because of the coupled entry sticks out in my mind.

despite Scat Daddy's recent post-mortem apotheosis. I feel that this reason alone is reason enough they could start him at $200k. And to echo Flanders his other sons didn't before to a legendary status on the dirt. I really can't believe Winstar would sell a TC winner either but there is a price fo...
