Re: 2019 Pegasus World Cup

Kulkulkan would lose the Pegasus by a conservative 20 lengths, and even if they let him run virtually for free ( which wouldn't be shocking ) it would be unfortunate. He couldn't win a competitive $25K claimer. No disrespect, he's a cool horse, but he's not fast enough to beat even moderately talent...

Re: 2019 Pegasus World Cup

Why do people keep saying "Frank" as though he has anything to do with all this? Hasn't it been made abundantly clear that Belinda is running the show?

Two Stonach Stables runners? I wonder what they pay to run? Then again, hs anyone put up any non-refundable cash at this time?

Any word on the outcome of today's much-speculated-on, misreported-in-advance meeting?
The meeting was yesterday and it wasn't discussed.

Like I tried to tell you, it was incorrect reporting.

Re: 2019 Pegasus World Cup

Wait, when did it become an Invitational?

That seems odd given last we knew it was $500K to enter. Did I miss something?

Re: 2019 Graded Stakes

The older F&M races, unfortunately, can't support these Grade 1 races year after year. We have lost three in NY this century....the Ruffian, Go for Wand, and now the Beldame. It wasn't much more than 30 years since the Ladies was a Grade 1 as well, and now it's listed. Adapt or die. The Spinster sh...

Re: Cigar Mile (G1) - December 1st 2018

While I understand the vast majority of Coolmore's dirt starts were just shots with turf horses to increase stud value, but their handling of Mendelssohn was very curious, especially in light of all the insightful comments Aidan O'Brien made the day after the KY Derby, I believe in the Racing Post. ...

History should tell an amusing story about the Pegasus in general. Do we really believe there are going to be two actual $7 million races that day?

Though, $7 million may not be enough if Greyvitos is running.
You doing previews for the Saturday stakes on the website?
Never came up. Sorry.

I hope this is a one year exception to allow the hockey rink to be built. While Mondays are quiet, it is the one day of the week that allows leisurely activities like multiple trips to the paddock, or a trip to the rail to watch a race.
It was an inaccurate report regardless.

Re: Saratoga Good Idea!?

There is no competition for Saratoga for betting handle. Arguably, days like Monday, where pretty much nobody else is running, are not spectacular handle days. Intellectually you would think it would be an advantage, but it does not work out that way.

I like Wayne, but he said some pretty absurd things in that interview. If he had given that to me, I would not have printed it.

Mirahmadi calls the Aqueduct races this year. He is an excellant race caller. Also, Mirahmadi was a "guest handicapper" with Andy Seling this summer in NY on "Talking Horses" He is also very good as a handicapper , and has a nice personality. I can understand why SA wants him. Don't know much about...

The guys on TVG said that Mike Smith has decided to ride Abel Tasman in the Distaff after her nice recent workout. Johnnie V. picks up the mount on Midnight Bisou.
Shocking!
