What kind of web browser are you using and do you have any extensions enabled (and if so, which ones), or could it be possible you have some sort of extension/wall that is blocking it? Can you see it if you click on this? (direct link to the photo, no article) https://www.thoroughbreddailynews.com/...

Re: Jockey/Trainer News - 2018

If true, I can think of a few things that might be in play here: I know SoCal is expensive, but I'm under the impression that NY is worse. Our traffic sucks but, after reading some of the posts from TBC members who live in the area, maybe NY's sucks more? :? There may be more racing along t...

Re: Clever Names for horses

I dunno how 'clever,' but Filly Joel (Dialed in x Sally,s Song) and Stoney Bennett (Bustin Stones x Saudi Princess) made me laugh.

(Both listed to run at Belmont today).

Re: Hurricane Related News

RE: Donner. I like to look up pedigrees etc. for OTTB when they appear in other disciplines. According to some articles I saw, Donner ran under the name Smart Gorky and earned about $2900 in six starts. According to Pedigree Query, the horse is by Gorky Park out of Smart Jane by Smarten. Fourth dam...

Re: 2018 Keeneland September Yearling Sale

What are they looking for, beyond pedigree? Conformation? Deportment? Conformation yes, movement ('the walk') as well is a huge factor. Vet exam. And plain ol' attractiveness. A flashy attractive horse will usually go for more than a horse equal in pedigree and maybe even slightly better conformati...

Re: 2018 Keeneland September Yearling Sale

I agree, mariasmon. I figured the Gunthers had a price in mind and he probably wouldn't reach it. 369 is a very flashy Violence colt, with plenty of white above his knee. Sold for 350k. Missed seeing him but found pictures. Courtney Snow @CourtneyNSnow 6h6 hours ago Hip 369 sells today 😍 Violence/S...

Along with the sway back, Major Angel also looks a bit long-backed and short-legged. :?

The third at Laytown (7 furlongs) was run on a BEACH. Next to the OCEAN.

Re: Travers 2018

Regarding Abel Tasman and Elate, one Bloodhorse commenter summed it as this: I have watched the head on video several times. Both horses change paths in reaction to the jockey's whip. Jose is a right stick and Mike is known as a strong left stick. Both fillies moved toward each other, because they ...

How big is Uncle Mo?
They list him at 16.3, but he's probably 17 hands, if not a little more. Pictures don't really convey how enormous he is, either.
Thanks. It would be something to see him in the flesh.
