Re: Matings 2018

insert Ryan Reynold's but why meme... Wait a While - Brethren I mean, she hasn't produced anything going to Distorted Humor. What do they think she's going to get going to Brethren, the nice looking but the underperforming half brother to the Derby winner? Someone buy her and send her to Ki...

Artie Schiller now a naturalized Aussie

I don't think he got enough respect in the US and I'm sorry he's gone, but I'm good with him being where he's more appreciated.
Agreed. I'm happy the Aussies wanted him.

Re: Matings 2019

Barbara Banke is considering sending Lady Aurelia overseas but also mentioned Curlin (ugh) and Good Magic (double ugh) as possibilities. I say send her overseas to Galileo while Galileo is still doing his thing. Curlin and Good Magic are young yet and she can go to them in the next years. At the sa...

I didn't realize Game Winner's second dam is Fleet Indian. So I guess I'm jumping on that bandwagon. I loved that big-eared Fleet Indian.

Yeah, I think we'll see many more Godolphin horses by Galileo. Because, well, Galileo. Duh.

I like Line of Duty. He reminds me of my mom's cat.
He looks like a scrappy little guy. It looks like he bounced off Uncle Benny without Uncle Benny moving at all.

Re: Stallion News

Anyone know how tall he is? He looks to be on the smaller side. A very cute boy. I have no idea how you can tell from those photos if he's on the smaller side. He looks to be an average TB height, based on all other photos of him. Not huge, not tiny. All the parts of him seem to be proportional, as...

Re: 2018 List of Mares Bred

War Front only had 82 mares- wonder if there was interruption during his 2018 breeding like there was for Super Ninety Nine. Probably not. They've kept his book pretty limited through his whole career. That's partly why demand for his offspring is so high at sales. I have the names of 69 of the mar...

Re: 2018 Keeneland September Yearling Sale

Honestly most of those pictures aren’t even taken at the right camera angle so I doubt they are reflective of the actual yearlings. Experienced buyers know that high croups and baby bellies are or for the course, they always grow out of those. A pretty head will always sell for more than an unattra...

Re: 2018 Keeneland September Yearling Sale

I think that the physical on these youngsters may be as...or more...important to buyers than their pedigrees. As we could see from all those Joe Neville Twitter photos of yearlings, many of these babies still have baby bellies, big heads and high rumps. It's a gamble to buy one and hope that it wil...
