Re: TV Discussion Thread

Well, I made it all the way through the two-hour premiere of The Inhumans . Wouldn't do that again. I'm so disappointed; did Marvel completely lose control of the production, the casting? The...everything? The dialogue is dull, the music is pretentious, the effects are so last decade. It all just e...

Re: TV Discussion Thread

On Netflix we've found some post GoT rebound shows to binge... and we've kind of wandered down a Scandinavian road. First we watched Norsemen, which is a Viking comedy (sort of Monty Python style through a Norwegian lens). They filmed it in both Norwegian and English, so you don't have to worry abou...

Re: TV Discussion Thread

We're getting ready to watch GoT soon... made a pot o' chili so dinner's taken care of.

Finished Defenders... loved it, especially since Iron Fist was not NEAR as annoying as he was in his own show (you have been warned).

Re: TV Discussion Thread

  I did not know Iron Fist and Ser Loras are/were played by the same actor. Everyone told me to skip Iron Fist, that it's not good. I'm kinda glad I didn't watch because he sorta annoyed me in Defenders. I did, however, like Colleen Wing... who is played by an actor on GoT, too (she is/wa...

Re: TV Discussion Thread

But seriously guys, Defenders. Getting ready to start watching it tonight, very excited, have been waiting for this one! And after a month or so of intermittent binge watching, my husband and I got through ALL of GOT and finally caught up in time to watch the new episode last Sunday! Yay! Finished ...

New Puppy - a Res Dog!

On to the next level with healing! Almost 4 months after losing our beloved Soda Cracker, we've had our hearts taken by another. We weren't looking at all, but July 1st there she was, she caught my eye... much like Soda Cracker did the day I first saw him almost 12 years ago (when, like now, we were...

Re: Across the pond

Well that was fun! I watched the whole week (dvr'd but watched each the day of). Now my husband's worried I'm going to make him wear a top hat and fly me across the pond. ;) As this is my first time watching (not just the race itself in replay) UK racing, I have so many questions. But thankful...

Re: TV Discussion Thread

And did anyone watch Legion and come out on the other side with their sanity intact? I loved it, even though I didn't know WTF was going on half the time. Loved Legion! Normally I don't like when shows/movies get so weird you don't know what's going on, but this acid trip was a really fun ride AND ...

Wow. I thought he was toast at the beginning... then thought "at least he has Mike who can channel his Zenyatta rides."! Didn't expect that to actually work out, but wow! Just wow! Imagine if he'd gotten out of the gate good, and had the perfect trip !

It's not that they aren't educated about racing that's the problem, it's that they form inflexible, emotion (as opposed to knowledge and experience) based opinions and have no willingness to listen to even gentle reason, logic or actual information from someone in the know. This is a recent post fro...

Thanks so much guys, it's something most people have to face at some time in their lives. This one hit me harder than I expected, I knew it would be tough, but then I thought he was one of those who would live till 16-17. He's been so healthy and problem free his whole life, then just after Christma...

RIP Soda Cracker

Last week I lost a part of me, when we had to give up on fighting to save my first "studio dog" and side kick of more than 11 years. He was not responding to any treatment, and was barely hanging on :( . So RIP "Auntie" Soda Cracker 5/21/05 - 3/9/17, the most awesome "ferret-mix" of a dog ever there...
